Tracking income and expenses

ScoutzOS automatically tracks rent payments collected through the platform. You can also manually record other income and expenses.

Automatic income tracking

Every online rent payment is logged automatically with the date, tenant, property, and amount. No manual entry needed.

Recording expenses

  1. Go to Accounting > Expenses
  2. Click "Add Expense"
  3. Enter the amount, category (repairs, insurance, taxes, etc.), property, and date
  4. Upload a receipt photo if available

Profit & Loss

View your P&L statement by property, portfolio, or time period. Go to Accounting > Reports > Profit & Loss. Filter by date range and export as PDF or CSV.

Categories

ScoutzOS uses standard accounting categories aligned with Schedule E for tax reporting: mortgage interest, taxes, insurance, repairs, management fees, utilities, and more.
