Switching from Rent Manager

Moving from Rent Manager to ScoutzOS is done by exporting your data as spreadsheets and uploading them.

Step 1: Export from Rent Manager

1. Log into Rent Manager
2. Go to Reports
3. For properties: select the Property List report, click Export to Spreadsheet
4. For tenants: select the Tenant List or Tenant Contact report, export to spreadsheet
5. For leases: select the Lease Summary report, export to spreadsheet
6. Save each file as CSV (if Rent Manager exports as Excel, you can open it in Excel or Google Sheets and Save As CSV)

Step 2: Upload to ScoutzOS

1. During ScoutzOS onboarding, select Upload CSV/Excel
2. Upload each file. ScoutzOS auto-detects common column names and maps them.
3. For any columns that are not auto-matched, use the dropdown to select the correct ScoutzOS field
4. Review the preview and import

Import properties first, then tenants, then leases.

After importing

Verify your dashboard, invite your team under Settings > Team, and connect Stripe for rent collection under Settings > Payments.
